Karissa Young, of Council

Karissa Young attended Brigham Young University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2004. During her undergraduate education Karissa obtained extensive experience in collection activities while working at Novell, Inc. She attended law school at the University of Denver, graduating in 2008. While in law school, Karissa participated in International Law studies, taking her to several European countries and studying various legal systems. Karissa was a teaching assistant in the DU Law Success Program, which elevated the bar passage rate by approximately ten percent. She lectured law students on bar preparation, participated in mock bar, and assisted professors in grading bar examination tests. Upon completion of her J.D., Karissa enrolled in the L.L.M. program, earning a Masters of Law in Taxation from University of Denver in 2009. Karissa is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Iowa.
